Bake Sale for Puerto Rico Relief

Some Saint Kilian parishioners with the assistance of their daughter’s eighth grade classmates will sponsor a bake sale after the 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, October 22nd. The parishioners have family ties to this parish and wanted to do something to assist the parishioners trying to rebuild (Parroquia Nuestra Señora de Belen in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico). If you would like to donate baked goods, please drop them off in the vestibule of the church on Saturday, October 21 or bring them to the church the day of the sale.

Say Pie! Fundraiser Assembly

This year SKPS Student Council is organizing our 2nd annual Say "Pie" to your Teacher Fundraiser. As the name implies, students will have the opportunity to pie their favorite teachers in the face! The event will culminate at an assembly on Thursday, October 26. This fundraiser has two parts: (1) We have a number of teachers who have volunteered to participate. Each teacher volunteer has been assigned a jar. At lunch, from October 16 to October 19, students will have the opportunity to put money (dollars, please) in each teacher's jar. The more money a teacher has in their jar, the more pies they will have thrown at them. We have goals in mind, as you will see on the poster, but those can be adjusted as the contest continues if needed. (2) Once we know how many pies each teacher will be receiving, the students will purchase raffle tickets, 5/$2 to have the opportunity to be one of the students to pie the teacher of their choice in the face. Student Council will be around in the mornings to sell raffle tickets to all students in homeroom October 20, October 23, 24, and 25. Winners will be announced on Thursday, October 25. All proceeds will benefit the Chimbote Foundation, which students will learn more about at the pie throwing assembly. The "pies" will be unscented shaving cream pies inorder to avoid any issues with food allergies or irritation, and it's an easier clean-up!

Trunk or Treat! - Presented by SKY

Help us serve our church families with this FUN event! Join us for the 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat - Presented by SKY High School Ministry. Trunk or Treat is an event where volunteers decorate the trunks of their cars and fill them with individually wrapped candy for the children - it’s a fun, non-scary alternative to Trick or Treating. We will be holding this invent in the Church Hall instead of the parking lot for the safety and relaxed atmosphere for young families. Instead of decorating the trunk of your car, we encourage you to decorate an old trunk, chest or suitcase that can be displayed at your reserved table. Volunteer cars are asked to bring their own candy to hand out. We will replenish if cars run low on candy. If you do not want to enter a trunk, you can still donate candy! Costumes are encouraged. All decorations and costumes must be kid friendly (nothing gory or scary). Please arrive at 1pm for setup. To sign up for a trunk or to donate candy, simply RSVP online!

All candy will be delivered to the Yellow Ribbon Girls.
